Northwest Fjord Show, Moses Lake, Washington • August 24-26International Fjord Horse Show, Libby, Montana • September 7-9 Our cover shows a photo of a Norwegian Fjord Gelding, Trinity’s Stein, being driven by owner Michael Sabatini with his wife, Susie. Michael and Susie raise and drive their Fjords near Athol, Idaho. This photo was taken at a July, 2007 Combined Driving Event (CDE) held at Teddy Bear Fjords, north of Spokane. Michael and Stein won “Overall” first place in the CDE as well as first place in their category for dressage, cones and marathon. Combined Driving Events are one of many ways Fjord owners enjoy using their “Versatile Norwegian Fjords”. At Fjord shows the “Versatility Award” requires a Fjord to be ridden English and Western and also driven hitched to a pleasure vehicle and a farm implement or log. Because of their calm temperament and sure footedness, Fjords also excel at pleasure riding and mountain trail riding. Please join Pacific Northwest Fjord Promotional Group (PNFPG) members and their Fjords at one of our shows this summer in Moses Lake, Washington on August 24th -26th or in Libby, Montana on September 7th-9th.
