Nichole Mulligan has built her horse training business with sheer determination and sweat over the past 10 years. Near Lewiston Idaho Nichole is “Custom Cowgirl Training and Sales.” She has built a work ethic riding and training colts since the young age of three!

Custom Cowgirl Training and Sales has many repeat customers who recommend Nichole’s talents to those who have young colts or older horses that need “a tune up”.

The style is unique as she mixes a little bit of several highly-respected trainers including Clinton Anderson, Chris Cox, Ken McKnabb, Van Hargis, John Lyon. Always eager to learn more, she attends clinics by these trainers regularly.

Nichole’s claim to fame began in 2007 when she won the Idaho Back Country Horsemans’s Colt Challenge. In 2008 and 2009 she returned and surpassed herself by winning, shooting her 45 colt while standing on the back of her colt!

Along with starting colts and finishing them she also is a big competitor in the Cowboy Mounted Shooting and Barrel Racing. Her first year in the Mounted shooting she placed 3rd in the world, then the returning year went all the way to win the Nationals in Missippi.

Nichole not only trains, she breeds and purchases several high quality horses with the “Whole Package” She studies pedigrees, conformation, and most of all disposition. She then places her personal “stamp of style” on each.

Honesty is priority and Nichole only sells a horse if she feels it’s the right match between human and equine. She started breeding a couple of years ago and always has really nice prospects for sale.
