IETWBEA Celebration
The Inland Empire Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders and Exhibitors Association will be hosting its 35th Annual Celebration Horse Show in Spokane, Washington. The show will be a three-day event held at the Spokane Fair & Expo Center on July 27, 28, and 29, 2007.
Friday’s festivities will include a Versatility show followed by a night of gaming classes, pizza party, and a judging clinic to be instructed by Judge Kirk Peters. Saturday will feature several divisions of classes including trail, country pleasure, plantation classes, lite-shod, and padded classes. A special tradition at our show highlights a class ridden by developmentally disabled children from Litehouse Incorporated. This class is sponsored by members Kathy Thorsen-Rosen and Robert Rosen. Many of the children have been taking lessons for several years from trainer Bart Ovnick.
The IETWHBEA will also sponsor a canned food drive that will benefit the Spokane Food Bank. Canned goods may be brought at anytime during the show and placed in the appropriate containers. Saturday evening will include a home-cooked barbecue and silent auction. Proceeds from the auction will benefit an organization yet to be determined. Items for the auction may be brought to the show anytime on Friday.
Sunday will conclude our show with several championship classes and high point award presentations. All registered Tennessee Walking Horses are welcome to attend our show. We are also looking for sponsors for classes. Please contact Teresa Owens for further information, e-mail
