1999 National Show The National Foundation Quarter Horse Associations 1999 National show will be held in Farmington, Utah at the Legacy arena, Sept. 3rd, 4th, & 5th. This year's National will be double judged with a combined score designating the National Champion horse in each event.
The overall Open Versatility Champion horse will ride home in a Beautiful Trails West Sierra 3 horse slant trailer Sponsored by Lone Peak trailer sales of Lehi, Ut. Some of the other awards will include high scoring Versatility Mare, Stallion and Gelding earning Trophy saddles, National Champion jackets for all divisions, and Buckles for division high points, longest haul, oldest horse, youngest rider, etc.
The National Show Foundation Quarter Horse sale will be held Sat. Sept. 4th. Contact the sale management company RMA sales at (435) 286-2281 for catalog and consignment information. All horses consigned will be NFQHA registered, with their foundation percentage listed in the catalog.
A special bonus will be the presentation of NF Goldn Opportunity a 99% foundation yearling dun filly. All NFQHA lifetime members will be included in the drawing which will take place during the National show. One lucky member will get to take her home.
The NFQHA offers events in Cattle, timed and performance events. Rules have been written with the All Around Versatility of the horse in mind. You won't see silver on the tack, fancy show attire, halter horses, or peanut rollers at NFQHA events. What you will see are Ranch type using horses competing in up to 15 different events. There are divisions for everyone, including a Super Senior division for horses 19 and over.
To qualify for registration a horse must first be Registered with the AQHA, and secondly carry a minimum of 80% foundation Quarter Horse blood, based on the extensive research done at the NFQHA office.
