Eastern Washington Quarter Horse Association
Please don't let the name fool you. The Eastern Washington Quarter Horse Association (E.W.Q.H.A.) is not just a group for Quarter Horse owners. Any breed of horse is welcome and encouraged to join. We have Appaloosas, Arabians, Morgans, Fjords and yes, some Quarter Horses in the group.E.W.Q.H.A. is a non-profit, community service, family organization. The membership fees are very low and we enjoy cook-outs, trail riding, clinics, parades, indoor arena riding, poker rides, guest speakers and the companionship of a lot of good people. Riding discipline and knowledge aren't important. All ages (families encouraged) are invited to attend. We give scholarships to graduating high school seniors from the area and the club has adopted a stretch of highway to maintain. On Labor Day weekend, our area's busiest time of the year, we assist the Ellensburg Rodeo Board and we support the Ellensburg Rodeo Posse's Junior Rodeo.
E.W.Q.H.A. is interested in the promotion, use, care and management of all horses. Loving and caring for horses is a learning process. We have members in all stages of learning, from beginner to members with decades of experience. We would love to have more people join us! We meet at the Appleseed in Ellensburg the third Wednesday of every month at 7:00p.m. or please call Marcy Matthews for more information (509) 964-9027
