Sharing with you Wishing Star's mission, this month Gallop Coordinator Barbara Turner shares with you some wishes currently being done by the Wishing Star Foundation.
"Hi everyone! Being involved in the horse industry and with Wishing Star, many of you approach me with questions about Wishing Star, wishes, and our children. Our wish kids are referred to us from lots of places and people. Neighbors, teachers, physicians, families, nurses and friends all have referred children with life threatening illnesses to Wishing Star. Often the child's family knows the referral, but we get anonymous referrals too. When a child is referred, Wishing Star contacts the family to see if they are interested in a wish. In sharing these "wishes' with you, please keep in mind that those of you who participated at the Gallop last year as a spectator, booth exhibitor, stallion owner or committee member helped to make these wishes a reality. Be very proud of yourselves!
