Come Ride With Us!
The American Quarter Horse Association and the Washington Quarter Horse Association invites horses of all breeds and riders of all disciplines to attend Washington Ride 1997, a national series of charity trail rides which celebrates the joys of horseback riding. The purpose of these rides sponsored in every state in the United States is to generate interest in American Quarter Horses and trail riding, as well as to raise money to support different aspects of the equine industry.Washington Ride 1997 will be held June 21st at the Silver Ridge Ranch in Easton, WA, beginning at 10:30am. This guided ride will cover three hours of easy to medium difficulty trail in the Wenatchee National Forest. It will feature spectacular views of some of the world's most unspoiled country, including views of Lake Kachess as well as mountain goats, elk and deer. Riders will enjoy a Dutch oven meal prepared by High Country Outfitters and will be entitled to a drawing for two commemorative Montana Silversmith Buckles.
An important component of this event is the charity aspect~--money raised from the ride will go directly back into the horse industry. Proceeds will benefit the NARHA, a n
ational organization which promotes horse activities for people with disabilities, research to promote equine health, programs of the American Quarter Horse Foundation and the equine industry in Washington State.
The cost for the ride is $100 per rider if you register by June 6th, or $150 for those who register after that date. Cost for the meal only is $50.
