The Pacific Northwest O-MOK-SEE

The 1996 PNW O-MOK-SEE had officially been cancelled at the January SCWGA meeting due to the lack of participation & no volunteer for a chairperson position. Word spread fast of the cancellation. By the January game show there were many disappointed people. The board said we could put on the O-MOK-SEE if we had a chairperson. At the end of the day we had a volunteer. Susan Pierce is the 1996 PNW O-MOK-SEE chairperson. The PNW O-MOK-SEE is officially on again.

The O-MOK-SEE committee had their first meeting Monday, February 12. All the committee heads were appointed & things are underway again. This year's event is scheduled for September 20 through 22. Events planned for the weekend are basically the same as last year. There will be a barrel maturity. Team & championship events are scheduled for Saturday night. There will be a peewee class like last year with all peewee riders receiving some kind of prize. Saturday & Sunday will be filled with fast horses & tough competitors vying for trophy saddles & other great prizes.

The Snohomish County Western Games Association board hopes that the word of the cancellation will not keep riders away from the show. There are a lot of new ideas & new faces on the committee for the 1996 event. We hope it will be an exciting & fun event for all.
