Gallop would also like to thank all of the owners of the 2018 line-up. Their support and dedication to Gallop’s mission has helped the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Inland Northwest continue to help families in crisis, who have travelled to be near their child in a hospital and need a place to stay. A big ‘thank you’ goes out to all the breeders who have participated in bidding on Gallop’s fine stallions!

This is your opportunity to help a family in need! Be sure to attend one of the Nation’s most successful fundraising Equine events, either in person or online! Gallop is ranked as one of the best events to purchase Stallion Services in the country! Each year the Stallion line-up gets better and new stallion owners join the ranks! This year Gallop has stallions from Washington, Texas, California, Oklahoma, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Colorado, Arizona, Alabama, and Idaho.

Stallion breeding fees range from $500 to $4100 per service. “We like to keep a pocketbook range so everyone has a chance to be a part of the Gallop event and helping our mission, as well as raising the bar of their breeding program” explained Gallop Event Coordinator, Barbara Turner.

This year’s event offers 36 World Champion stallions! Many others are Reserve World, Congress, NCHA, and NRHA Champions. There are three stallions that are 6, 7, 9, and 12 time World Champions!

Many will recognize the Stallion names, as they are leading sires of their breed and have produced multiple World and Reserve World Champion offspring. You will have the opportunity to purchase services to some of the finest Halter, Western Pleasure, Hunt Seat, Working Cow, Cutting, and Reining stallions in the world! The 2019 stallion line-up is complete, and the website is being updated daily with our non-service auction items. This is a great time to do your homework on transported semen costs, mare care facilities and breeding procedures for stallions and ranches that are of interest to you. It also gives you an opportunity to research the stallions. If you are considering transporting semen, make sure you research the process and contact the stallion owner to confirm costs and what their “Live Foal Guarantee” consists of. Those costs will be between the successful bidder and the stallion owners or breeding farms. Visit the Gallop website for more information, www.GallopAuction.com.

Can’t make it to the event in person? Pre-bidding is currently being accepted, or you can bid the day of the Auction by calling our toll-free number and speaking to an operator, starting at 11am. Watch the event live on our website, www.GallopAuction.com and have your credit card ready! Be sure to call in your bid one or two services prior to the service you are interested in.

Not going to be near a computer? On the road, working or hauling home from a horse show? Don’t worry, let Barb Turner know and arrangements can be made for your bid prior to services hitting the auction block!

Gallop welcomes back actress, singer, and recording artist, Valerie Jeanne. She has been performing at Gallop and entertaining countless children for 18 years. Valerie is a powerhouse vocalist from the Pacific Northwest. Her singing career began at the age of three and has been captivating listeners with her amazing voice ever since. She has opened for major name acts such as Freddie Fender, Sherrie Austin, Big House, and Doug Supernaw. She has performed at private parties entertaining guests like Wayne Newton and Jack Hannah. Valerie also had the honor to work with Oscar and Academy Award winning actress and legend Patty Duke in The Traditions of Christmas Musical. She was a headliner performing a tribute to the vocal giant Celine Dion in a Vegas style production called Showstoppers Live, and also performed a tribute as Carrie Underwood in Las Vegas. Valerie is an award-winning singer who competed in the San Francisco rounds of the X-Factor, Nashville’s Charlie Daniel’s Talent Round Up, and the Spokane Frog FM Country music vocalist contest where she took first place. Valerie is thrilled to announce a new single entitled “Rainbow After The Storm.” Michelle McCammond and Mellad Abeid wrote this song for her to sing in light of her stage-three Breast Cancer battle. “Rainbow After The Storm” has recently hit #1 on Christian Music Weekly and charted in the top-forty on Nashville Christian Connection Chart. Her story and single have appeared on KHQ, KREM 2, KXLY, and FOX 28’s Good Day Gotta Hear This. Valerie, finished recording her second song, “This Side of Crazy”, written by Michelle McCammond and Luke Yates. Most recently Valerie was a featured guest artist on K102 Country “Morning Stampede Show”. She is a performer not to be missed!

Participating for her third year, Gallop is honoured in welcoming back the very talented recording artist, Christy Lee. This girl can sing! She placed in the top-three for the Inland Northwest’s “Best Of.” The gritty texture of Christy Lee’s voice is one of the best you’ll hear! She has lived in Nashville recording and performing regularly in music venues and on Broadway. Over the past seven years, Christy Lee has been in and out of Nashville pursuing her music career, touring and sharing the stage with the likes of Rascal Flatts, Randy Houser, Franky Ballard, Hunter Hayes, Bryan White and Blake Shelton! Music is not a hobby for Christy, it a career (filling the days in her life) and a family affair that began at the urging of her beloved father. She wows audiences wherever she performs.

A vital addition to this year’s Gallop event (by popular demand), is singer-songwriter, guitarist, and recording artist, Nick Canger. Nick recorded and released an old Tim McGraw song that was written by Tommy Barnes called, “When She Wakes Up and Finds Me Gone.” To date, Nick has played with Gary Chapman, Michael Peterson, Jason Michael Carrol, Luke Yates, and many more. You can hear Nick singing on the radio, and on the tongues of his fans young and old. His music can be followed on iTunes, YouTube, Facebook, Reverb Nation, and live at this year’s 2019 Gallop Event! Nick leaves his talented mark on stage every time he performs. If you haven’t heard him yet, do not miss out on one of Country Music’s best acts at the 2019 Opening Ceremony of the Gallop Stallion Services Auction!

Joining the entertainment for this years 2019 ‘Opening Ceremony’ comes well noted singer, writer, drummer and composer Jesse Quandt. Jesse started playing guitar and singing at the age of four. Being strongly influenced by classic, outlaw country, and classic rock, he thrived in learning from the greats. Adding drums to his repertoire, Jesse became well versed in jazz as well as classical, but never let go of his country roots. Shortly after the start of the war in Iraq, Jesse put his musical aspirations on hold and joined the Army. He served just shy of ten years. No matter the post, he never went anywhere without his guitar. On his final overseas tour, Jesse began writing and composing his own original musical works. Within weeks of returning home to the States, Jesse was booked and performing professionally. From being billed in small bars, state fairs, music festivals, Jesse has gone on to open for award-winning artists and national touring acts, and has developed a devout following. His music follows themes of the blue collar worker, heartache, life, and love. Jesse’s energetic style of blending country with rock, blues and soul, always gives something for the listener to enjoy. Whether playing an intimate accoustic show, or an astounding, energy-packed live event, Jesse Quandt never fails to deliver true entertainment. Gallop is excited to have him join the ranks of helping RMHC families!

All of this excitement and support helps the Gallop Stallion Services Auction meet its primary goal of raising funds to help the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Inland Northwest continue their mission of helping hundreds of families. Check out all of this year’s performers on Gallop’s Facebook page, or on our website, www.GallopAuction.com.

Imagine if your child was sick. What would you do if you had to fly to a hospital in a different city far from your home? Would you know where to go? When you arrived at the hospital, where would you put your extra clothes? Where would you shower? Where would you wash your clothes? Who would you turn to for help? These and many other questions are all answered daily by the volunteers at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Inland Northwest.

Families are provided temporary lodging, comfort and support while their children are accessing medical services and overcoming medical struggles. The house provides a consistent and caring helping hand, lessening the mental and financial strain on families. It allows them to focus on the most important thing … supporting their children. They give families the ability to spend more time with their children, to interact with their doctors, and to make important decisions about their child’s care. Fortunately, people like you, help support the mission when you participate in the Gallop Event! Your generosity provides more than a wonderful afternoon at the Gallop Event… it offers a home away from home for hundreds of families, that is a gift that is truly priceless!

Even a Ronald McDonald House child understands the gift of giving as being truly priceless…
At the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Inland Northwest, six-year-old Santana’s face lights up as he remembers the day that Wigs for Kids came to visit. Two of his friends, Gabby and Stephania, had recently shaved their heads and were quiet and sad. All of that changed for a few minutes when they were handed their wigs. For Santana, this triggered an idea: he decided that he would grow out his hair and donate it so that other kids with cancer could experience the same kind of joy.

Such empathy would be impressive for any 6-year-old, but even more so for one in Santana’s shoes. Just weeks before, what doctors originally thought were attention problems and heartburn turned out to be Leukemia. In the blink of an eye Santana was pulled out of school in his distant city, and sent to Spokane for a blood transfusion. During his treatment he stayed at the Ronald McDonald House off and on for the next thirty-nine months.

When Santana’s hair started falling out he and his dad Homar shaved their heads together. When Santana’s hair started growing back he told his dad about his plan and informed him that he too needed to grow out his hair. Homar couldn’t argue. Their act of kindness inspired twenty two other family members and friends, who also decided to grow their hair out to donate to kids with cancer.
Santana finished his treatment and was officially declared cancer free in January 2015. That same month, he, his dad, and friends and family worked with a local barber who donated their time and space for a hair donation party. In total, the fundraiser brought in almost $2,000 for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Inland Northwest, as well as enough hair for many, many wigs.

Santana’s desire to help stems from a simple motivation: despite the difficult circumstances that brought him to Spokane, many of his happiest memories from those three years were at the Ronald McDonald House. He remembers the dance parties he and his friends would have when someone was having a bad day, hanging out with his friend David in the Sponge Bob room, and his Grandma coming to the House to make him tamales.  Despite being sick and tired, he felt surrounded by a community of people who understood and were there to lift him up during the tough times.

As Santana’s mom Michelle puts it, “If it wasn’t for the Ronald McDonald House of the Inland Northwest, we wouldn’t have made it.” This was the least we could do to help pay it forward…You need to love on each other. It’s the only way you get through.” That empathy and compassion are traits clearly passed on to Santana, and felt by the hundreds of families who will benefit from his kindness.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Inland Northwest is grateful to Gallop’s sponsors, donors, committee members, stallion owners, and bidders for their support in both the Ronald McDonald House Charities mission and Gallop Auction.

Since the start of the Gallop event in 1983, the auction has raised $2,070,789.79 in its mission of supporting local charities.

You can be a part of the Ronald McDonald House Charities family too and make a direct impact on the life of a child today. Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Inland Northwest looks forward to seeing you all at the Gallop Stallion Service Auction on Sunday, January, 27, at Noon for a “Fun”-raising event.
