"Lean With Me" - Renowned Reining Horse - Tops the 2003 Gallop Auction Service

He sells over his normal standing & brings in $3,450 for Wishing Star Children!

Wishing Star's highest selling service was two-time AQHA World Champion stallion, Lean With Me. One of the Quarter Horse breeds most sought after stallions - Lean With Me is owned by John & Norma Sather of Mason, Washington. He was the 1994 OQHA Reining Champion of the Bruce Gilcrest Memorial Futurity, and AQHA World Champion Junior Working Cow Horse. In 1995, he returned - once again - to win the O.Q.H.A. Reining Championship; earned an AQHA Superior in Reining; won the prestigious NRHA Derby (winning $20,000.); and returned to the AQHA World Show to gain another title as the "1995 AQHA World Champion Senior Reining Horse." Sired by "Smart Little Lena", he is out of one of the best mares in the U.S., "Chexy Lady". She is the producer of 10 AQHA World Championship offspring. Lean With Me's oldest foal crop is 6 years old this year. They include: NRHA, NWCHA, and NRBC Futurity Finalist, NRHA Derby Finalist, NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity Finalist, NCHA Money Earners, AQHA World Show Qualifiers, and AQHA & APHA ROM and Point Earners. To date, his offspring have won or been finalists at the Congress Reining Futurity, many NRHA Reining and NRCHA Cow Horse Futurities and shows across the United States and Canada.

Our second highest selling service was tied by two stallions. Playgirls Conclusion is owned by Lowell & Tyler Stewart of Lawrence, Kansas. Many were not surprised and predicted that this stallion would be one of the top two highest selling services, as he has been Gallop's, highest selling service for the past three consecutive years. He is a noble creature, a legend, and a leading living show horse and sire of the AQHA registry. With over 742 registered foals, Playgirls Conclusion has been on the Leading Sires list a number of times. Including All Divisions Leading Sires list in 1997. His siring list includes 11 World Champions (with 14 World Championships) and 9 Reserve World Champions (with 11 Reserve World Championships). Due to the above mentioned, many predicted his service would go highest selling for a third consecutive year making it a first in the history of Wishing Star Gallop for any breed stallion. Playgirls Conclusion's service sold for $2,000. to Al Bastible of Newport, Washington. Wishing Star is indebted to Lowell & Tyler Stewart. Knowing you can make a difference in the life of a child, you have made many dreams come true!! God bless you for your kind heart in giving and support in caring!!

Wishing Star's other second highest selling service was the well known sought after stallion, Potential Investment. He is a Congress Champion and Reserve World Champion Western Pleasure stallion. In addition to multiple circuit championships in Western Pleasure - including the Florida Gold Coast and Pre Denver circuit - "Potential Investment's" major wins included: Champion at the Dixie Nationals; Reserve Championship at the 1994 Congress 2-year-old Futurity; third place at the 1995 AQHA World Show in Jr. Western Pleasure; and the 1996 All American Quarter Horse Congress Western Pleasure Maturity Championships; followed up with the 1996 Reserve World Championship in Jr. Western Pleasure. He is now a leading sire of Pleasure Horses. To date, Potential Investment offspring are following in their sires footsteps as many are World and Reserve World Champions, National and Congress Champions. His service sold for $2,000 to Duns N Roses of Rathdrum, Idaho. Thank you Steve Heckaman ... for always supporting us when asked for with this magnificent stallion, and making dreams come true for our Wishing Star children.

Our third highest selling service was Reining Stallion, Shine Like Hail. What excitement it was for those who attended the Gallop this year as Rhodes River Ranch hauled Shine Like Hail to the Gallop event for presentation! When he came into the arena for his service to be auctioned off, he brought the house down with his reining maneuvers! Shine Like Hail's Life Time Earnings over $114,000 dollars has made him one the highest money earning sons of "Shinning Spark". His AQHA points have been earned in Working Cow Horse, Heading, and Heeling, additionally earning his AQHA Performance ROM. This natural performer has claimed the following titles: 1999 NRCHA World Championship Open Snaffle Bit Futurity Reserve Champion; 1999 Equistat #2 All-Age Reined Cow Horse Money-Earner; 1999 Santa Ynez Cow Horse Classic Open Snaffle Bit Futurity Champion; 2000 River Front NRCHA Open Derby Co-Reserve Champion; finalist in the 2000 NRCHA Open Reined Cow Horse Stakes; and the 2001 NRCHA Hackamore Champion. Shine Like Hail stands for $2,000 with his owner Jean Rhodes of Rhodes River Ranch. His service sold for $1,950 to Mary Rocco of Heron, Montana. Wishing Star cannot thank Jean Rhodes enough for always being there for us with support and love for the children of Wishing Star. Your gift of giving is heart felt and appreciated.

The fourth highest selling service was "One Hot Krymsun." It was his first time in the Gallop lineup. Calls, Internet, and live audience bidding was active on this very sought after AQHA Two-Time World Champion stallion. After winning the title of AQHA World Champion Two-Year-Old Western Pleasure Horse, his owners brought him back out to compete... winning Championships and Reserves all year and topping the year off with a Congress Championship, Congress Reserve Championship, and finally sealing his record by defending and claiming his AQHA World Championship in the Junior Western Pleasure. He had achieved what no other horse had; back to back World Championships in the Two-Year-Old Western Pleasure and in the Junior Western Pleasure (as a 3-year-old). That, plus a Congress Championship and Reserve Congress Championship make him the stallion with the best show credentials in history. Standing for $1,600, his service sold over its normal standing fee at $1,700. One Hot Krymsun service was purchased by Jimmy & Vicki Brown of Rockford, WA. Wishing Star would like to thank owners, Craig and Becky Baily of Batavia, Ohio for stepping up to the plate along with the other stallion owners in helping make dreams come true. God bless you!

Congratulations to these stallions topping the sale (of all breeds participating), and all the other stallions that raised lots of money for our Children!
