Ride The West All Breed Horse & Trade Expo 2003

Ride The West, brought to you by Big R On Trent, has just completed it's second year of bringing World Class Trainers, Stunning Stallions, Gorgeous Breeds and a quality Trade Show to the Pacific Northwest. With the Clinic line-up including Richard Shrake, Clinton Anderson, Charles Wilhelm, Sharon Camarillo, Van Hargis and Dan Sumerel along with a host of local talent, patrons had their choice as to what type of horse handling information they would most like to see. The Expo's Stallion Parade and Breed Showcase highlighted some of the most beautiful and expertly trained horses available in the Northwest. From Appaloosas to Fresian, each one was displayed and paraded with class and style. The Friday Night Gala featuring Crossroads Ladies Aside, The Inland Empire Arabian Horse Association, Cocolalla Creek Sport Horses, Charles Wilhelm, Richard Shrake & Miss Resistance Free, Inland Empire Back Country Horseman, and Rathdrum Tack & Feed's Surry with the Fringe on Top was a spectacular performance of horse & man. The special presentation to Event Manager Susan Rae by her husband and friends ended up with her riding in a custom "Ride the West" Chariot pulled by a four abreast palomino hitch with Dave Nelson at the lines. It was a beautiful event and played to a packed house in the Indoor Arena.

We are very excited about the Sharon Camarillo filming that took place at the Expo all weekend long. The Expo and the Spokane Fair & Expo Center will be highlighted in a 13 week Camarillo video series and on RFD-TV a satellite network. Many good things happened at Ride The West and we are already tweaking and improving to bring you an even more fabulous Event in 2004. We must say "thank you" to our title sponsor Big R on Trent, co-sponsors Gus Johnson Ford, Horse Previews & The Exchange, Cat Country 94, Allegra Feeds, Equibrand, Anvil Shoe Products, TexTan, and Powder River. Please let these people know how much you appreciate their involvement in the Expo. It couldn't happen without them. I also want to thank my husband Rick, my parents, my family, neighbors and friends, our volunteers, Dolly Hughes & her Fairgrounds Staff, "Big Cat Daddy" Jim Diamond, Jay Nordling, Helen Boyd, our Vendors and Horse Owners, and most of all you who came to the Expo and showed your support of the Horse Industry in the Pacific Northwest.

All in all, it was a very successful show, and we hope you mark your calendars for September 24, 25, & 26th next year. Come see the best.....Ride The West, 2004. Thank You!
