The Spirit black and white have suggested retail prices of $49.95 and the suggested retail price for the Antiquus version is $54.95. The "Radius XR" Helmet
Troxel announces the introduction of the "Radius XR" (extra ring of protection), a high technology helmet that defines a new frontier and leadership in styling and protective headgear.
Troxel's acclaimed research and development team engineered the "Radius XR", as a response to the challenge of offering a high technology and fashionable helmet for the aggressive equestrian rider or any other rider who wants the ultimate in high technology styling and protection.
To create the "Radius XR", Troxel's research and development team combined, experimented with, and tested materials used in the aerospace industry because of their high-strength and low weight properties.
The team selected a unique carbon fiber shell. They created an extremely light, unusually strong black carbon design in show helmet styling. Within the lightweight liner is the "extra ring of protection", a carbon reinforcing structure molded inside the impact absorbing expanded polystyrene.*
The combination of technology and materials of the "Radius XR " results in crush strength 2-3 times greater than that of standard, plastic shelled ASTM helmets.
The "Radius XR" also features our "Comfort Fit system", which adjusts to provide a proper comfort and fit for nearly all wearers, and advanced direct ventilation ports.
Among other amenities, the "Radius XR" has black suede covering the visor, button, straps, and ribbon.
The "Radius XR" was designed to satisfy ASTM/SEI requirements and we anticipate receiving these certifications in the near future. The Radius XR has a suggested retail price of $299.95 and will be available this fall throughout the U.S. at Equestrian retailers.
