Appaloosa Racing Excitement in Oklahoma
MOSCOW, ID - May 1, 2000 - Remington Park in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Blue Ribbon Downs in Sallisaw, Oklahoma were host to several victorious Appaloosa racers this April. The first stakes race of the year and two other competitive races were held in Sallisaw at Blue Ribbon Downs and the remaining eight competitive races took place in Oklahoma City at Remington Park.An Appaloosa Maiden for two-year-olds took place on April 7, 2000 at Remington Park in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma The winning time for the 250 yard race was :13.78, and the total purse was $4,200.
First Place: WE GO HIGH, a two-year-old dark bay colt won by a nose. Sire: ALL NIGHT HIGH (AQHA); Dam: EASY EASY; Owner: Betty C. Adams of Yukon, Oklahoma; Trainer: Mike Adams; Jockey: G.R. Carter, Jr.; Earned: $2,470.00.
Second Place: BOOGIEIN RAYMOND, a two-year-old red roan gelding placed by a head. Sire: BUMP BOUNCE BOOGIE (AQHA); Dam: B PRETTY WOMAN; Owner: Edward Dossey of Kiefer, Oklahoma; Trainer: Edward Dossey; Jockey: Ben Landeros; Earned: $890.00.
Third Place: JAKES BUG, a two-year-old grey gelding placed by a nose. Sire: ZEVIS SCOOTER BUG; Dam: MISS BABY BULL; Owner: Jim W. Shook of Wagoner, Oklahoma; Trainer: Jim Limbaugh; Jockey: Randy Wilson; Earned: $507.00.
