ApHC Gets Ready For
Release of New Book

MOSCOW, Idaho - "Appaloosa Legends," a new book by award-winning equine historian Frank Holmes, was released for preorders on Monday, March 3 at the Appaloosa Horse Club (ApHC). Preorders are for the hardcover limited edition that is expected for release on June 15.

Only 2,000 copies of the hardcover edition will be available and will include a full-color dust jacket with a hand-numbered title page. Cost of each is $29.95 plus shipping and handling. Soft cover books will be available at a later date.

The book is a history and biography of 27 Appaloosa horses that have set the Appaloosa breed apart in the equine industry. With more than 350 photographs of people and horses, the book provides a unique read for all equine aficionados.

Horses included in the book are: Absarokee Sunset, Apache, Bright Eyes Brother, Chief Of Fourmile, Colida, Double Six Domino, High Spot, Hands Up, High Hand, Joker B., Little Britches K., Mansfields Comanche, Mighty Bright, Navajo Britches, Cooterville Norell's Littlered, Patchy, Patchy Jr., Peavy Bimbo, Quanah, Rustler Bill, Red Eagle, Sundance, Top Hat H., Toby I, Toby II and Wapiti. A special chapter is dedicated to "Blue Mare" the distinguished mare from the Marshall and Mavis Peavy family line of Appaloosas.
