Gary & Kathy Medcalf have invested countless hours pursuing excellence in the horses they breed, train and show. Gradually their desire for only the best has evolved into Doubletree Arabian Ranch, LLC.
Fifteen years ago Gary and Kathy began pursuing this dream. Kathy forfeited her job in the business world seven years ago to devote all of her time and energy to Doubletree Arabian Ranch, LLC. Gary is the driving force behind the remodeling and expansion projects. He continues to operate his own business and devotes his free time before and after regularly scheduled business hours to the ranch. Kathy trains horses and instructs students daily.
Kathy Medcalf has spent her entire life training, showing and breeding horses of various breeds, including Appaloosas, Quarter Horses and, her first love, Arabians. She has owned several national level halter, driving, and Pleasure horses. Gary Medcalf's vast knowledge of horses spans a lifetime, beginning with his youth in the Southwest where he was employed by major ranching operations.
While the Arabian horse is the Medcalfs' first love, the facility is open to all breeds for lessons, training, breeding, showing and sales. Her students range from young children learning to ride to the adult rider who is finally realizing a dream of owning and riding their first horse.
Gary and Kathy proudly offer an elite roster of IAHA Breeder's Sweepstakes nominated halter and performance horses for your consideration. A limited number of outside horses are being accepted for training during the 2001 season.
