World Class Instructors, Spectacular Horses Converge in Albany,
Oregon
Sundowner Trailer presents the third annual Greater Northwest Equine
Expo in Albany, Oregon in March, which promises to be the largest
horse exposition on the West Coast this year. The event brings together
world renowned and Olympic Gold Medal winning clinicians, impressive
horses from all over the US and Canada, the latest in equine products
and thousands of horse enthusiasts eager to learn more about the animal
and the industry. The list of clinicians includes Australian Clinton
Anderson, Linda Tellington Jones, Captain Mark Phillips, GaWaNi Pony
Boy, Hilda Gurney, Eitan Beth-Halachmy and Bobby Richards.
The four day run starts on Thursday, March 21st at 4pm with a
special session featuring Clinton Anderson on Downunder Horsemanship
and Linda Tellington Jones on T.T.E.A.M. training of horses. Then
Friday through Sunday afternoon the various clinicians will all
offer multiple presentations in two arenas and several meeting rooms
at the Linn County Fair and Expo facility next to I-5 in Albany.
Also featured in the Expo are two exposition halls full of vendors
offering the latest in everything for the horse, ranch and home.
Throughout the weekend there is a Stallion Review with several breeds
represented including Dutch Warmbloods, the Kiger Mustangs, American
Paint, Quarter horses and more. The Breed Showcase will offer almost
two dozen breeds of horses to see and learn about including some
rare breeds and some of the most beautiful like the Friesians, Lusitanos
and Tennessee Walking Horses. Horses representing breeds from all
over the world will be at this event.
Sponsored by Sundowner Trailers, Bandera Outfitters, Coastal Farm
& Home Supply, Allegra Horse Food, NW Rider Magazine, KXPC Radio
and Guaranty Trailer & 5th Wheel Centers, this is an excellent
opportunity for anyone involved with or interested in horses. The
roster of clinicians is quite impressive. Headliner Clinton Anderson
will teach people how to handle difficult horses. Selection of demonstration
horses is restricted to horses that Clinton has never had contact
with before, so people can see real problems resolved. He makes
his presentations with horses that want to buck, rear, balk or bolt,
and those that refuse to trailer. His training methods replace the
customary force with choice. A native Australian Anderson has offered
expos and training all over the world.
T.T.E.A.M. Training stands for Tellington Touch Equine Awareness
Method of training and will be presented throughout the weekend
with Linda Tellington Jones. A recognized method of training and
healing that honors the body, mind and spirit of all animals, and
has been used successfully with sore backs, stiffness, nervousness

countries and she has authored 10 books on the subject. She has
won the Master Instructor Award and the Lifetime Achievement Award
from the American Riding Instructors Association, and Horsewoman

attendees on Dressage and competing in this area of riding. She

times. Hilda is a Senior rated AHSA Dressage Judge, A Candidate
rated FEI Dressage Judge and Approved AHSA Dressage Sporthorse Breeding

which Eitan applies his years of training in classical dressage
to western horsemanship. He and Compadre are best known for their
awe-inspiring performances to music. They will be teaching and performing
all weekend during the Expo.
