Eastern Washington Horses Become Canadian National Champions!

The 17th Canadian National Quarter Horse Show took place August 2000 in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada. Many of the top Canadian and Northwestern United States Quarter Horses participated. More importantly for our readers, nine horses from Eastern Washington traveled the distance pursuing the dream of a Canadian National Championship title. When the journey ended and all had returned home - together they had brought back - 4 Reserve and 10 Canadian National Championship titles. Oh, and not to forget, one Canadian National Champion Supreme Halter Stallion!

"Too Cool To Be Blue," Canadian National Champion Amateur Two & Under Halter Mare and Reserve Canadian National Champion Yearling Halter Mare - owned and shown by Lori Wilkerson. "The Obvious Power," Canadian National Champion Yearling Stallion, Amateur Two & Under Halter Stallion, and Supreme Halter Stallion - owned by Wilkerson Ranches, shown by Lori Wilkerson of Kennewick, WA. "Marquise De Mil," Reserve Canadian National Champion Aged Stallion - owned by Pearce Land & Cattle Company of Benton City WA, and shown by Bobby Johnson. "Sucha Casmire," 3rd Canadian National Champion Yearling Stallion - owned by Al Bastible of Newport, WA, and shown by Bobby Johnson.
